World recycling day

Today we celebrate World Recycling Day, a mission at the basis of the production model we use at BEF Biosystems. Recycling is a fundamental pillar of the circular economy and is closely connected to food sustainability.

Together with FANTOLINO and the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo we recover precious resources for our planet through the "CIRCULAR EGG" project: a system that involves the withdrawal of food no longer sellable from large-scale retail trade to feed the larvae that will become fodder for the chickens.

From a 50 gram egg we recover the same quantity of organic waste.

1 kilo of larvae used to feed a hen allows you to avoid the production of 5 kilos of waste.
